Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese craft with a long history, passed down since the Nara period.

Throughout its evolution, its methods of expression and application have changed over time.

Used in kimono obijime cords, hair ornaments, and other traditional accessories,

it is also said to carry the symbolic meaning of "tying bonds."
